Operation MumsDay -- 台湾永和豆浆油条大王 You Tiao Da Wang Review

My pregnant wife mentioned that she has a craving for 肉鬆蛋烧饼 a few days back.
So I took the opportunity to surprise her on Mother's Day today.

Its in a complicated area so the best option is to go and da bao back for her.

Went out early in the morning 6+ am while she and Jaron are asleep and head down to 台湾永和豆浆油条大王 @ Lor 24A Geylang.

Ate my breakfast there since there is still time away from Jaron waking time.

The 烧饼 is nice, even though its not very warm. The skin is slightly too thick but tasted nice together with the floss and egg.

As for the soy bean milk, either the staff forgot to add syrup for me or they saw my big belly and decided to do me some good. lol.

Anyway, I was too lazy to ask about it and drank it without syrup. (Take it as a diet lol) Its bland but the soy bean milk smell and taste is still fragrant.

P/S: Overheard 2 guys and 1 girl about paying for some hotel stay and fooling around. OMG. Think its best that kids do not go there. lol

Takeaway 肉鬆蛋烧饼 and 台湾面线 for my dear wife aka Jaron's mum.

The 台湾面线 is surprisingly decent. Not too salty, but maybe a tiny touch too much starch. The noodles is smooth and nice. But the pig's intestine is a bit too little. Overall still quite good. Of course, the best is still to eat in Taiwan! LOL.

Glad that my wife enjoyed them. Happy Mother's Day to my wife!

Feels like the worst parent in the world

So Jaron is coughing very badly this morning.

My wife brought him to the doc. N was told by the doc that his lungs are still clear but he is heading towards having bronchitis.

He has to be nebulized till Monday and go back for review.

Why didnt I see the signs earlier?

I really feel like I'm the worst parent in the world when Jaron is sick. :(

Hectic two weeks

Mine oh mine, what a busy couple of weeks.

Jaron is down with flu again but has since recovered.

Then, my pregnant wife caught his virus and keeps coughing. She is better now, still coughing, but better.

So I have to handle most of the things for the last two weeks.

There was one particular day where I felt that we were really having a bad day.

On this day, Jaron was constipated and Mummy was at her peak of a coughing fit.

Jaron kept crying as he had a stomachache and couldn't squeeze his poo out. He kept crying and looked at me while I heard mummy coughing hard in the room.

I felt like the world is gonna explode.

I can handle Jaron alone if he is still at his old mischievous ways. But a crying constipated Jaron and a coughing Mummy.

That's definitely something different.

I really really have to control my emotions. After all, it is not his fault that he got constipated. We should have ensured that his diet is balanced enough.

I took a couple of deep breaths and calmed myself down.

I took my constipated crying son to the toilet and placed the toilet seat adaptor for toddlers.

Armed with
- Barney youtube video
- A bottle of water
- Encouragement

I kept encouraging him by saying he can do this and assuring him that it's ok. Just a little bit of pain. And kept feeding him water while showing him Barney as he cried at every attempt.

He finally pooped and started to be playful. By this, I know he is fine.

Phew~
