Cranky little Hulk

Don't make her angry. You wouldn't like it when she's angry.

Little female Hulk is turning. Saliva on romper & shock expression as the indication.

And soooo my arms are breaking

Ok. This was the rare one time he came out of his room looking for me and just slept on my shoulder. He can sleep alone since a long time ago.

Still willing to do it cause he is still my baby. :)

Social media with babies puking milk

I dont get it. *Just IMHO*

Posting pics of babies puking milk on social media?

Sorry. I quickly wipe it away n clean up our baby for prevention of rashes. Do not even have the thought of reaching my phone to take a pic as a keepsake.

Funny world or cause i belong to the older generation. Dont flame me, just IMHO as a parent. Peace.

Quote From The Mummy

My wife once told me this.

"We have a lifetime to catch up with each other but only a few years with the kids at toddlers' age where they need u and most probably love u the most. We should spend more time with them." - My Wife

One of the most brilliant things she had ever said. IMHO.

An Open Letter to My Daughter Sarah

Dear Sarah,

Even though you are the opposite of your elder brother, who was an easier baby to take care of and well behaved.

Even though sometimes you reject daddy's hugs at times and prefer your mum's.

Even though people try to avoid hugging you because of your fussiness.

I still love you for you are my princess even though I'm not a king.

Love, Daddy.

Shears Baby Wrap Swaddle Review

I'm reviewing the Shears Baby Wrap Swaddle.

Not the Shears muslin blanket that can double as a swaddle. But a swaddle wrap with velcro to swaddle the baby securely. My daughter is unable to free her hands after I used this.

Ok. There are a lot of brands with the similar concept kind of swaddle. But after looking at the price tags. I find that the Shears one is value for money at around $17. The other brands i saw at kiddypalace are around $30 + -. (Excluding organic cotton kind)

It is pretty simple to use which I am going to show with the photos below. My daughter as the "model" of course :)

Confinement daddy stare

Starting from 12 midnight or so:

She drinks -> She stops to poo -> I change her diapers -> She continues to drink -> She spits some milk and wet her clothes -> I change her clothes -> She continues to drink -> She burps

End result nearly 1am now:

I'm tired and she is wide awake hiccuping. And we stared at each other blankly for 15 mins already. I'm still smelling sh*t from her soiled diapers beside me.

Our 2nd has arrived. Sarah meimei.

Very very busy few weeks. Preparing for Sarah arrival and my wife's baby delivery.

Pictures of Sarah below. :D

Im currently helping my wife with her confinement cause she cannot stand any nagging from her mum or my mum. So I volunteered to be her "confinement daddy".

We ordered confinement food delivery and hired a helper. So my main focus is on both my 3yo son and baby.

First steps
Yap. Jaron was super sticky to his mummy when Sarah's arrival is approaching. We find that it is a good idea that we buy some small toys and tell him that his meimei bought it for him.

We did that and indeed he was very very happy. Kept sayang meimei and even making sure her blanket is covered properly. Haha.

Bathing both of them
I have tried two types of schedule of bathing them.

1) Bathe Sarah, then bathe Jaron immediately after.
2) Bathe Sarah, then bathe Jaron later.

Schedule 1 is damn xiong man. Im trying to stick to schedule 2.

I also make sure I bathe Jaron (most of the time) personally so he will not feel left out or something.

Finding help (minor help)
I try my best to get my son involved in the process of taking care of meimei, so he will feel part of the responsibility.

Minor stuff of course, like taking a fresh diaper, keeping meimei's bean bag safe for the moment or taking the milk bottle to and from my helper.

Its very xiong to take care of two kids on my own. But in the process, I cherish precious moments with my two little ones.

One more week till I go back to work. Wish me luck!

5 Reasons Why My Son's Obsession With Toy Cars Is Driving Me Nuts

1) Road Works
My shin is the road, my knee is the hump, my thigh is the expressway and my belly is the hill to drive up to.

2) Parking 101
Do not disturb his perfectly parked cars. Even if its accidental. A car goes off the line and he will shout "EH! WHAT DOING?!".

3) Hide & Seek & Pain
He hides his favourite toy cars under the quilt and I laid down without looking under.

4) Search & Rescue
He will search for a particular car at a random timing and gets sad when he failed. "NO AMBULANCE!", "NO FIRE ENGINE!".

5) Self-Drive
He then shouts for the car and expecting it to drive itself to under his feet. "AMBULANCE?!", "FIRE ENGINE?!".

Hokey Pokey Indoor Playground - Seletar Mall Review

Hokey Pokey at Seletar Mall

Few weeks ago, we visited Hokey Pokey at Seletar Mall. Unlike Amaze at SAFRA Toa Payoh which has a separate room only for babies and toddlers, Hokey Pokey is an indoor playground for babies of 6 months old up till kids of 6 years old.

I personally have an issue with older kids to be playing together with babies in an indoor playground. Some older kids tend to be more active and jump a lot which may be dangerous to the babies. So if you are bringing your baby, it would be advisable to keep a lookout for older kids jumping and speeding around.

Jaron is already 2.5 years old, so I feel that its safe enough for him to play here. Even though I have to try to keep him calm as there are crawling babies around too.

Overview of the playground

Many indoor playgrounds have lower and upper level of play areas. But this only has one level. Which works for me as I do not have to climb up and down with him. Lol.

Basically, there is a cooking area, a bouncy castle, two shelves with all sort of vehicles, a few table top car/train tracks, etc..

This photo was taken while I was sitting at the mini cafe.

Sitting and waiting area

There is a mini cafe for parents to rest or wait. They do sell drinks and snacks too. But of course its not cheap. One can of drink is $1.50.

   Various playing areas

I actually like the slide. It is of spongy type which is safer for kids. Overall, its quite good as it has lots of toys and stuff which can keep him occupied.

Some areas are unpacked and very messy

These areas were not packed as often as it should. These are actually potential hazards for kids. My son nearly tripped on one of the books. Please do keep an eye on your children when playing around these areas.

Pigeon Medicated Compact Powder Review

There are some claims on the internet that Talc is harmful for babies especially when its inhaled. Baby powder usually contains Talc.

I use the Pigeon Medicated Powder for Jaron as it prevents him from getting heat rashes which he usually will get in hot weather. As I puff him down after a bath, I try not to get powder puffed into the air so as to prevent him from inhaling the powder.

Recently I saw this in Nex's Isetan. It's still Pigeon Medicated Powder but the powder is compacted into a small case, something like a woman's makeup compact foundation. So I bought it to try it out.

I used the puff and pressed against it to get some powder.

I applied it on Jaron's leg and it looked like this.

The powder applied does not look as thick as the normal baby powder after puffing but it covers well. And of course no powder is puffed into the air, which means Jaron will not inhale any powder in.

Gundam Exihibition at Ngee Ann City 4 – 28 Jun 15

Jaron was very excited when he saw those huge robots.

He shouted, "Wa! Robots SO BIG!" and kept pointing to the robots on display. At one point, he was even dancing with excitement in front of a green smaller robot.

Haha, he is like a little red bean in front of a basketball standing in front of the two huge ones.
